But most will be good
Some days you just get up and don’t feel the drive, sometimes this can last for weeks. Sometimes its not even a lack of motivation of self worth, sometimes it’s just a day where the stocks are down and you see your portfolio drop. Sometimes a part goes out on your car and you cant get to work. Maybe you get into an accident on your way to an important business meeting and you lose a client.
Some days just suck, some weeks just suck. Life happens.
Now if you actually suffer from real depression or bad mood swings, you should seek professional help.
For those of us that don’t fall into that category its important to understand road blocks and bumps along the road of life exist. I sometimes struggle with this more than others. I also see the other side of the tunnel though, a bad week is usually followed by a good week. It is important to remember that its ok to feel down, there’s nothing wrong with you and you are not a failure if you have a bad week.
The most successful people stumble occasionally. Many of the worlds greatest inventors have hundreds of failed attempts before they get it right. Most businesses fail, the ones that succeed are by those who didn’t stop when the first couple tries failed. Some people are lucky, some of us have to make our own luck.
Now I have written before about how to work out of a rut and to build motivation back after losing it for a bit. This post is more about not judging yourself when you fall into a rut. Remembering that you can get out of it, you can keep moving forward and you will succeed if you don’t give up.
I have used a few metaphors already, but I will leave you with one more, the night is darkest just before the dawn. Don’t give up, keep moving, and believe in what you are doing and trying to achieve.
